Hey everyone!  It's been a while since I posted on the forums.

I have my Juris Doctor from an American law school.  I was looking for attorney jobs in Denmark (I passed the bar and am licensed in California) .. but I keep getting rejected.  So I decided that the best way for me to work my way back into the DK would be to study and get my LL.M. at the Faculty of Law...

I miss Denmark terribly (I studied there for a semester during Law School in the Spring of 2008) .. so I had a few questions (since the Fac of Law is closed until August 9th and I can't get answers from them for another week!)

1) How hard is it to get into a Danish Master's program?  I had great undergrad grades .. my grades in law school sucked my first year, but steadily improved and I had a great 3rd year.

2) Since I have a JD (which I would assume would be an LL.B in Denmark) from an American university, do you think I'll have to go through the CIRIUS agency and get an assessment?

3) Dreaded student loans.  I have a BUNCH of student loans thanks to the good ole' US system of higher education (hey, you can get a higher degree.. just take out $200,000 in student loans!)  My question is whether or not I can defer these loans while doing an LL.M at the University?

Some of my Danish friends (yes.. I actually managed to pierce the veil during my time in DK and make some Danish friends! ha) have said that getting an LL.M at the Uni would improve my chances at getting a job w/ a firm in DK tenfold ... What ya'll think?

Any information would be incredibly helpful.  I miss DK a lot .. and have been psyching myself up for this..

According to the site, applications should be in by October 15th for the spring semester.. which is what I'm trying to do!

Hoping that this gets my foot into the Danish door to permanently live there! :D

Oh, one more question .. hoping maybe someone might be able to help on this one.  I've googled and searched, but wasn't able to get a clear answer.

Does anyone know if the University of Copenhagen has a Direct Plus loan school number?  I hate that I can't call them until next week .. and all I could find online was a federal school code for a Section 529 thing .. which isn't what I wanted.

1) I'm currently a undergraduate myself- it's my belief that once you have a undergraduate- which is recognized by the Danish university as a valid under graduation in that particular field you wont have problems being accepted.
2) No idea
3) No idea myself but try to check http://www.studyindenmark.dk/tuition-and-scholarships
4) I would recommend using skype and trying to call the danish SU service- which is the danish financial aid program for students
http://su.ku.dk/
tlf: +45 33 14 15 36
E-mail: su-kontoret@adm.ku.dk

All these advices a just thoughts I'm not in anyway sure about this, just trying to the best of my ability to help a bit :)
